The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating two break and enters to residences in Oakville that may be related.
At approximately 12:10 a.m. on April 25th unknown suspect(s) gained access to a home on Birch Lane by forcing the rear back patio doors open. Once inside suspect(s) ransacked the residence, using a red gym bag found in the home to carry several high-value items from the premise, including watches and jewellery.
The suspect(s) then descended to the basement area of the residence. Upon entering the basement both the suspect and a resident of the home became aware of one another. The suspect immediately fled the residence without confronting the resident.
The suspect is described as: male, heavier set, average height, wearing a white t-shirt and green khaki pants.
The second incident took place sometime between 7:15 a.m. on May 8th and 9:00 p.m. on May 9th when unknown suspect(s) attended a residence on Birch Lane and entered a garage through the single manual garage door. Once inside the garage, the suspect(s) entered a Lexus vehicle and managed to drive the vehicle out of the garage. The suspect(s) headed northbound through the only access to the road at Lakeshore Road.
