**The Auxiliary Policing Services Unit is now accepting resumes for its September intake**
The Halton Regional Police Service Auxiliary Policing Services Unit conducts a recruiting drive and applicant testing each year in the fall, providing the Unit has vacancies to fill.
Successful applicants will have to complete:
- Online application
Aptitude testing
- A Physical Abilities Assessment using the Ontario Police Fitness Award standards
- The test is comprised of:
- Push-ups
- Trunk forward flexion
- Curl-ups
- 1.5 mile run
(Note: Candidates must complete each component, and obtain an overall score of 50%)

- A structured panel interview based on the following competencies: sound judgment, listening skills, spoken communication, interpersonal skills, assertiveness, written communication, initiative and the ability to follow policy and procedures
- A thorough background check and reference investigation
- Psychological testing
