**The Auxiliary Policing Services Unit is now accepting resumes for its September intake**

The Halton Regional Police Service Auxiliary Policing Services Unit conducts a recruiting drive and applicant testing each year in the fall, providing the Unit has vacancies to fill.

Successful applicants will have to complete:

  • Online application
  • Aptitude testing
  • A Physical Abilities Assessment using the Ontario Police Fitness Award standards
    • The test is comprised of:
      • Push-ups
      • Trunk forward flexion
      • Curl-ups
      • 1.5 mile run

(Note: Candidates must complete each component, and obtain an overall score of 50%)

  • A structured panel interview based on the following competencies: sound judgment, listening skills, spoken communication, interpersonal skills, assertiveness, written communication, initiative and the ability to follow policy and procedures
  • A thorough background check and reference investigation
  • Psychological testing
