**Effective March 24, 2013, the hours of operation for 11 Division (Georgetown) will change to 6:00 a.m. - midnight (Monday to Friday) and 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday).
A direct line telephone to Communications is located outside the main entrance for those who attend the station after hours and who are in need of assistance.**
The Town of Halton Hills, comprised of Georgetown and Acton, covers an area of 276 square kilometres, and has a combined population of close to 56,000 (2011 figure).
Halton Regional Police Service 1 District locations include a police station in Georgetown (11 Division) and a substation in Acton (10 Division).
Policing responsibilities for Halton Hills (1 District) are combined with those of Milton. Four platoons of uniform officers, led by a Staff Sergeant and supported by an Inspector and civilian staff are responsible for delivering frontline policing services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Halton Hills (Georgetown and Acton) is also supported by a Detective Sergeant who oversees the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB).
The Georgetown station is also home to an Administrative Sergeant who oversees HRPS response to many community events in 1 District (Halton Hills), Community Support Officer programs, volunteer staff and traffic-related issues and initiatives.
In keeping with Halton Regional Police Service's community-based policing approach, each area has established Community Consultation Committees. These committees provide a public forum for police officers and members of the public to work together in developing policing strategies to best serve their respective area.

Superintendent Chris Perkins began his policing career with the Metropolitan Police in London England in early 1980. After arriving in Canada, he joined the Halton Regional Police Service in April, 1989.
Chris has had a varied career in policing, including time spent in London as a foot beat officer, and in the metropolis’ Traffic Division. His career in Halton has included uniform patrol, Criminal Investigations, and a 13-year stint as a member of the Explosives Disposal Unit. After five years commanding Regional Investigative Services, he was transferred to the role of Commander of 1 District in the Fall of 2011. Chris enjoys the opportunity to lead a group of dedicated, community-minded officers who police the municipalities of Milton and Halton Hills, and helping to make the community a vibrant and safe place in which to live.
Chris lives in Oakville with his family. In his personal time, he has a passion for motorcycling and music. Chris is also a piper and part-time drummer in the Halton Regional Police Service Pipes & Drums. |

Inspector Nishan Duraiappah joined the Halton Regional Police Service in 1995 and is responsible for uniform patrol operations in Milton and Halton Hills. Nishan began his policing career as a uniformed patrol officer in Acton, Georgetown and Milton. He has subsequently served throughout the Region in Burlington uniform patrol, Criminal Investigations, the Regional Drugs & Morality Unit, Guns & Gangs Unit, Diversity and Cultural Relations and as Executive Officer for the Deputy Chief of Operations. Nishan is well connected within the local community and is committed to improving community safety. In his personal time, Nishan coaches youth sports, plays a variety of sports himself, is an avid musician and enjoys time with family and friends.
