The Halton Regional Police are currently assisting the OPP with an investigation on the QEW between Appleby Line and Burloak Drive.   
 
This investigation has necessitated the closure of the QEW at this location (all lanes, both directions).  Vehicles are being diverted onto municipal roads to bypass the affected area.  Halton Police are actively working to facilitate the flow of traffic in this area, however significant traffic congestion exists.  Drivers can expect lengthy delays.  
 
Drivers are being asked to avoid this location and seek alternate routes if possible. 
 
It is unknown when QEW traffic will be restored.  Once the duration of the closure is known, further updates will follow.
