The Halton Regional Police Service Court Services Bureau, stationed out of Police Headquarters, is comprised of the Court Bureau, the Prisoner Escort Unit and the Summons Bureau. It is managed by a Staff Sergeant.

A Sergeant, 13 Constables and three civilian employees staff the Court Bureau located in the Milton Criminal Courthouse. The Bureau is responsible for providing court security and is the liaison between the Halton Regional Police Service and court-related agencies such as the Crown Attorney's Office, the judiciary and Court Administration.

The Prisoner Escort Unit, staffed by a Sergeant, civilian supervisor and 30 Special Constables, is responsible for the transportation of prisoners from various detention centres throughout Halton and the Greater Toronto area. They also escort prisoners within the courthouse, to court, for their hearings. Special Constables receive five weeks of recruit training, and gather DNA samples for the DNA Data Bank.

Three Special Constables, responsible for serving summonses, witness subpoenas and the delivery of court documents from the police stations to the courthouses, staff the Summons Bureau.  In addition to its regular duties, the Bureau retrieves found bicycles reported to the police.

Two municipally-operated Provincial Offences Courts are located in Burlington and Milton.
