The Halton Regional Police Service Drug and Morality Bureau are responsible for the enforcement of all drug and morality-related matters, including major liquor infractions, gambling and prostitution.
It is supervised by Detective Sergeant Jeff Dunham.
The Bureau works in Halton and in conjunction with various community partners and stakeholders, including the O.P.P.'s Drug Enforcement Section (DES) to curb the trafficking of readily-available drugs such as cocaine, marihuana and ecstasy.
The Halton Regional Police Service Drug and Morality Bureau will ensure that integrity and tenacity are integral components in identifying, preventing and eliminating drug-related offences in our community.
Specially-trained Detective Constables assigned to the Drug and Morality Bureau are supervised by a Detective who reports to the Detective Sergeant.
Mandate:
The mandate of the Halton Regional Police Service's Drug and Morality Bureau is to investigate:
- Drug offences, including trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking and production
- Gaming offences
- Prostitution-related offences
- Major Liquor Licence Act offences
