The Critical Infrastructure Police Emergency Response (CIPER) Program enables representatives of schools, places of worship, and other organizations to submit details about their premises to the Halton Regional Police Service. This information is kept by our Service to help ensure officers are able to effectively respond to an emergency at the location.

The ultimate aim of the program is to improve the safety of those at or attending these places.

What Information Are We Looking For?

The type of information collected as part of the CIPER Program includes:

  • Data sheet, comprised of contact information and premise-specific details such as hazardous materials stored on site, evacuation points, security details, etc.
  • Floor plans
  • Site plans
  • Satellite maps
  • Photographs of premise

Those interested in participating in this program are asked to complete the applicable Data sheet for your premise/location:

School Data Sheet (elementary, secondary, post-secondary, private schools, etc.)
Place of Worship Data Sheet (churches, synagogues, mosques, gurdwaras, etc.)
Critical Infrastructure Data Sheet (businesses, government facilities, transportation, etc.)

Completed Data sheets and any accompanying digital floor plans and/or site plans can be emailed to: ciper@haltonpolice.ca.

To ensure collected data remains current and accurate, submitted information will be verified annually. The data collected is used for police emergency response purposes only and participation in the program is completely voluntary.

Site Visits

A site visit, during which an officer will take external and internal photographs of your premise, can be arranged (upon request) by emailing ciper@haltonpolice.ca
